1. Who is the course designed for?
The Yoga course by INFS has been launched for one and all. Anyone willing to learn the art in order to rejuvenate their mind and body can enroll in it. While the course has been designed for everyone, it would particularly benefit those aiming to build a career as a yoga instructor. You will be provided the fundamental knowledge of major schools of yoga, yogic texts, and yogic principles. You will acquire skills to efficiently perform different yoga asanas. Furthermore, you will learn how to manage stress and develop your personality through yoga. Upon successfully completing the course, you will have the technique of teaching and instructing yoga skills. You will know the ways of promoting health through the practice of yoga.
2. What does the course content include?
The INFS faculty will conduct live lectures and live skill sessions to teach you the yogic practice. In case you miss the live lectures due to unavoidable reasons, you can view the recordings. However, it is recommended to attend the live sessions for better understanding. Besides, you will also be provided with the lecture slides and the Yoga Certification Board (YCB) Textbook. Quizzes and workbooks will be your other learning aids.
3. Which batches are available for the course?
The course will be conducted in two batches – weekday and weekend. You can choose either the weekday batch or the weekend batch and stick to your particular batch’s schedule. The timing for the respective batches is as follows:
- Theory Sessions: Monday, Wednesday, Friday (7 PM to 8 PM)
- Practical Sessions: Tuesday, Thursday (7 AM to 8 AM)
- Theory Sessions: Saturday (7 PM to 9 PM)
- Practical Sessions: Sunday (7 AM to 9 AM)
4. Is the course accredited?
The INFS Yoga Protocol Instructor Course is accredited by the Yoga Certification Board. Its curriculum is aligned to the Yoga Certification Board’s ‘Yoga Protocol Instructor’ certification, approved by the Ministry of AYUSH.
5. How to get dual certification?
By enrolling in the course, you can grab a chance to gain a dual certification for this course from Yoga Certification Board and from INFS. On successfully completing your theory and practical examinations, you will receive a certificate from INFS. If you want to secure the YCB certification, you will have to appear for a separate theory and practical assessment conducted by the YCB assessors. The passing percentage for both theory and practical examination is 70% each. You will have to pay a small additional amount in order to attend the YCB certification.
